Before You Begin


Workday is your new best friend this is where you will find benefit, payroll information, and all things important to you!

Here are the three easy steps to your start at THSC

  1. Workday
    • In your email you will receive your offer letter to sign, Click here to review
       
    • Complete additional tasks of entering your date of birth, marital status, and social security number
       
    • You will receive separate emails with your username and password to login to Workday
      • Click here to review what emails to expect from Workday 
         
  2. Multifactor Authenticator (MFA)
    Want all things THSC right on your phone? Here is what you need:
     
    • To review your pay slips, change direct deposit or view your benefits etc. You need to download the Workday app on your phone
       
    • To access the THSC Intranet Site, you need to download the Microsoft Edge app on your phone
       
    • Any issues setting this up please call 1-877-750-4748 (Service Desk) 
       
  3. Complete your I-9 Form 

    This step can be completed virtually through our partner Equifax and should be completed prior to your start date. Review the Virtual I-9 Process Guide for assistance in utilizing the virtual verification method.
     
    • 1. Go to the I-9 Form site:

    • 2. Select Trinity Health Senior Communities in the dropdown box. 
       
    • 3. Enter Section 1 Information
      • Include all last names: You should include all last names you have used, including your maiden name (if applicable).
         
      • Include hyphens and apostrophes: If your name has a hyphen or apostrophe, you will need to include it.
         
    • Virtual Section 2 Verification
       
      • Your I-9 Section 2 Verification will be done virtually using video conferencing/virtual meeting technology. After completing Section 1 of the I-9, you will upload a photo of the front and back of your documentation, then you will click to meet with a virtual agent to verify your documents.
         
      • The hours to meet with a virtual agent are M-F 5am-4pm PST/8am-7pm EST If you are completing Section 1 outside of these hours you will be notified to return to complete the portion of meeting with a virtual agent during the hours of operation.
         
      • To be prepared for the virtual I-9 Section 2 Verification, be in a quiet well-lit room as the agent will be confirming your identity on camera. Have your documents ready to share with the agent and ensure your camera and microphone are turned on.
         
    • From beginning Section 1 of the I-9 to finishing Section 2 with a virtual agent, it should only take between 10-15 minutes. Please set this time aside so you can finish the process in full.
       
    • Please visit the Official Website of Homeland Security for a list of acceptable documents.

  4. Background Check 
    What state are you working in? Click on your state to complete the mandatory background check and occupational health process.

You will receive an email from our background check vendor, DataFacts for completion.  Please complete within 24 hours of receipt. Additionally, as part of the State of Connecticut Long Term Care background check process you will also receive an email with information for the Applicant Background Check Management System (ABCMS).  The email will be separate and following the initial email that you receive.  This fingerprinting process is a mandatory step in the background check process.  The email will contain the information for the participating police barracks as well as the forms that are necessary to present when you have your fingerprints completed. Please be sure to check your emails for these requests and do not delete. 

You will be contacted by your HR department to schedule your preemployment physical, drug screen, TSPOT, and functional assessment appointment. This must be completed prior to your first day of employment.

** Functional Assessment – only applicable to clinical staff*

You will receive a link from our background check vendor, Sterling, for completion. In addition, you will receive a separate link to complete your Fingerprinting Acknowledgement form. Please ensure you are checking all your e-mail folders for these links and complete within 24 hours of receipt. This is an approved request, do not delete.

You will be contacted by your HR department to schedule your preemployment physical, drug screen, and TB testing. This must be completed prior to your first day of employment.

You will receive a link from our background check vendor, Sterling for completion. Please ensure you are checking all your e-mail folders for this link and complete within 24 hours of receipt. This is an approved request, do not delete.

You will receive a Concentra authorization in your email to complete a preemployment physical, TB Testing and drug screen. This must be completed prior to your first day of employment.

You will receive an onboarding packet link in your email to fill out consent to run a background check and hep b form. In addition, you will receive a separate email from Sterling verifying previous/current employment. Please ensure you are checking all your e-mail folders for these links and complete within 24 hours of receipt. This is an approved request, do not delete.

You will be contacted by your hiring manager to schedule your preemployment physical, drug screen, and TB test. This must be completed prior to your first day of employment.

You will receive a link from our background check vendor, Sterling, for completion. In addition, you will receive a separate link to complete your iCori form and provide a photocopy of your driver’s license. Please ensure you are checking all your e-mail folders for these links and complete within 24 hours of receipt. This is an approved request, do not delete.

You will be contacted by your HR department to schedule your preemployment physical, drug screen, and TB testing. This must be completed prior to your first day of employment.

You will receive an onboarding packet link in your email to fill out a consent to run a background check, employment verification Sterling, and Healthcare Personnel Vaccination Recommendations and Requirements Form. After background check has been processed you will be contacted for your required fingerprint appointment and provided a coupon code for payment. Please ensure you are checking all your e-mail folders for this link and complete within 24 hours of receipt. This is an approved request, do not delete.

You will receive an occupational health authorization in your email to complete a preemployment physical, TB testing and drug screen. This must be completed prior to your first day of employment.

You will receive a link from our background check vendor, Sterling, for completion. Additional items that are requested through this link are employment verification and a drug screen. Please ensure you are checking all your e-mail folders for this link and complete within 24 hours of receipt. This is an approved request, do not delete.

You will receive an occupational health authorization in your email to complete a TB testing and drug screen. This must be completed prior to your first day of employment. 

Vaccine Requirements

  • Most up to date COVID Vaccination – with the exception of a signed declination
  • Flu Vaccine – Flu season with exception if you have an approved exemption
  • TB Testing
