Most illnesses of aging are chronic and make carrying out activities of daily living difficult. Glacier Hills professionals are experienced in geriatric medicine assure the best and most advanced treatment protocols to our long-term care residents. Glacier Hills is proud of its historical collaboration with medical leadership which includes geriatric specialists and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from the University of Michigan and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.
Long-Term Assisted Living, Glacier Hills' newest memory care program, follows the Anam Cara model. The care strategies used there aim to provide all aspects of care to residents with varying degrees of dementia, ranging from those who are higher functioning and thrive on social interaction to the more advanced that may keep to themselves and have a harder time articulating their wants/needs.
