Rather than focusing on the disability or disease, the highly trained colleagues at The Alverno emphasize the individual in order to maximize their unique capabilities. With emotional support, warmth, resilience, and empathy, we work together to create a caring community dedicated to supporting the needs of all its residents.
With a community purposely built to accommodate the needs of our aging residents with memory loss, we are able to design programs, events, and staff training around these specialized needs. Our highly trained colleagues are able to use their education and experience with patients suffering from dementia to expand upon the latest research and develop lasting relationships with our residents.
This focus in committed care that includes creating activities that encourage a resident’s strengths and helps improve their weaknesses, as well as activities that promote cognitive functions and stimulate memory.
