Absolutely not. While Saint Mary Home and The McAuley were founded by the Sisters of Mercy, our community is welcoming to people on any and all faith journeys and from all walks of life. Our residents, clients, and colleagues represent the multi-faith and diverse population in greater Hartford.

Continuing Care Retirement Communities offer accommodations for independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing, offering residents a continuum of care. A person can move among levels of care as needed. The Mercy Community is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF International) as an Aging Services Network.

While The McAuley is a private-pay community, Saint Mary Home does accept Medicare/Medicaid. For a complete list of insurance plans accepted, please contact the Office of Admissions at 860.570.8200.

As a Continuing Care Retirement Community, Saint Mary Home and The McAuley are open 24 hours per day, seven days per week. There are no limited visiting hours.
