Trinity Health Senior Communities’ Dr. Stacey Johnson Promoted to Chief Operating Officer
Stacey Johnson, DNP, RN, HFA, NEA-BC, Chief Nursing Officer for Trinity Health Senior Communities (THSC,) has been promoted to the role of the organization’s Chief Operating Officer (COO.) In her new role, Stacey will report directly to Dan Drake, president and CEO of Trinity Health Continuing Care, providing leadership and direction in strategic planning, growth, and operations for THSC.
Stacey’s dedication to THSC is clear. After serving in South Bend, IN as Director of Nursing at Holy Cross Village at Notre Dame and Instructor at Ivy Tech College, Stacey became a Regional Clinical Manager for THSC in 2013. Since then, she has progressed through regional and national clinical leadership roles including her appointment as Chief Nursing Officer in 2022.
Highly regarded for her expertise and Mission focus, Stacey served as THSC’s COVID-19 Response Team Lead during the national health emergency. She led the initiative to create a resident-centered care model for high acuity assisted living, is the TogetherSafe lead for THSC, and is a member of the Trinity Health Nurse Executive Cabinet. According to Dan Drake: “Her top priority has always been – and will continue to be – the provision of high-quality, compassionate care and outstanding hospitality to the residents we serve. Our residents, families, and colleagues will benefit greatly from Stacey’s breadth of skills, talent, and experience.”
Stacey holds a B.S.N. degree from Indiana University, an M.S.N. degree from Bethel College, and a D.N.P. with a focus on public health leadership from Indiana State University. In 2023, she received the LeadingAge Michigan Leadership in Action Award, was an Age of Excellence Honoree, and was recognized as a featured Standard of Excellence Team Member by the Institute of Post Acute Care.
