Independent Living

Enjoy freedom, convenience and privacy. Our Independent Living HUD communities offer affordable apartments for low-income seniors. These communities are subsidized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Contact us to see if you qualify.

Residents can select from a variety of studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans.

Good candidates for Independent Living apartments are elders who are generally healthy and able to care for themselves, can communicate with doctors and caregivers by themselves, prefer to live among their peers and no longer choose to maintain a house.

McAuley Commons provides an independent living setting for seniors in a designated smoke free/tobacco free environment. For the health, wellness, and safety of our residents, smoking and all tobacco items are prohibited in the common areas, individual apartments, hallways, stairs, elevators, restrooms, parking lots, outside entrances and patio area.

Our staff consists of a business administrator, office assistance, service coordinator. While our community does not provide any personal assistance to our residents, such as meals, services, 24-hour staffing, monitoring, transportation, personal and medical needs, etc., our service coordinator will be happy to assist you in locating outside resources to meet your personal needs.
